Who we are

MarketChomp is an AI marketing assistant for small businesses, operated by Apptellio, LLC — the company responsible for the information described here (the data controller). The AI writes your content and lines it up for you; you approve it. Nothing publishes without your say-so.

This policy explains, in plain English, what information we hold, why we hold it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at hello@marketchomp.com and we’ll explain it properly.

What we collect

Your account details — the name and email address you sign up with, and your subscription plan.

Your business profile — the things you tell the setup wizard: your industry, what you sell, who you serve, where you’re located, and what success looks like for you. This is what lets the AI write in your voice and follow the right rules for your trade and location.

Your content and channels — the posts, emails, and ads the AI drafts for you, your approvals and edits, and the social or email accounts you choose to connect.

Your email marketing connection — when you run an email blast, MarketChomp connects to your own email service provider (such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact) to send it. Your subscriber contacts live in that platform — MarketChomp doesn’t collect or store your individual contacts.

Basic usage information — the ordinary technical data any website records (such as your browser type and the pages you visit) so we can keep the service running and secure.

How we use your information

To do the job you hired us for: generate on-brand content, research the advertising rules for your occupation and location, suggest the right channels, and queue everything up for your approval.

To run your account — sign you in, handle billing, send you the alerts and reports you’ve asked for, and provide support.

To keep the service safe and reliable, and to fix problems when they come up.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to advertise other companies’ products to you.

How the AI uses your data

When MarketChomp creates content or researches your compliance rules, it sends the relevant parts of your business profile to our AI provider on our servers — never from your phone or browser, and never with your sign-in keys exposed.

The AI uses that information to produce your draft and returns it to us. Our AI provider does not use your data to train its models.

Every draft lands in your approval queue. The AI never publishes anything on its own — you are always the last step.

Who we share data with

We share information only with the service providers that make MarketChomp work, and only to the extent they need it: our hosting and database provider, our AI provider for content generation, and the email and social platforms you choose to connect.

When you connect a social or email account, content you approve is sent to that platform to be published or delivered, and their own privacy terms then apply to it.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users and the public.

The companies that help us run MarketChomp

A handful of trusted companies provide the infrastructure MarketChomp runs on. They only handle your information to provide their service to us, only on our instructions, and under contracts (called data processing agreements) that require them to protect it and never use it for their own purposes.

Supabase — our database, sign-in, file storage, and the secure server-side functions where your data lives, including any access keys for accounts you connect.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) — the cloud infrastructure that our app and our database run on.

Anthropic — our AI provider, which turns the relevant parts of your business profile into your draft content. It never receives your sign-in keys, and doesn’t train its models on your data.

The social and email platforms you choose to connect (for example, Facebook or Constant Contact) — receive the content you approve so they can publish or send it, and their own privacy terms then apply.

Where your data is processed

MarketChomp is operated from the United States, and your information is stored and processed there.

Some of our providers may access your information remotely from other countries where they operate. In particular, our database provider is a Singapore-based company whose team may administer the service from Singapore. Wherever your data is handled, the same protections and contractual commitments follow it.

If you use MarketChomp from outside these countries, you’re agreeing that your information will be processed in the United States and Singapore as described here.

How we protect your data

Every business’s data is isolated from every other business’s at the database level, so one customer can never see another’s information.

The keys that grant privileged access live only on our servers, never in the app on your device. Sensitive work — anything touching the AI, billing, or your raw data — happens server-side.

No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data carefully and review the parts of our system that guard it as high-risk code.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

If you close your account, you can ask us to delete your data and we will, except where we’re required to keep certain records.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update your business profile at any time from within the app.

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@marketchomp.com and we’ll take care of it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws. We honor those rights for everyone.

Facebook data and deletion

If you connect a Facebook Page, we store what we need to publish on your behalf: access tokens for your Page, your Page’s name and id, and the list of Pages you manage. We don’t collect your followers’ or commenters’ personal information.

You can remove this at any time. Disconnect Facebook under Channels → Connect, or delete your account — either one erases the Facebook data we hold. You can also remove MarketChomp from your Facebook settings (Settings → Apps and Websites), which automatically tells us to delete the data we obtained from Facebook.

However you do it, we delete the access tokens and Page details we stored, and disconnect your Facebook Page. Questions? Email hello@marketchomp.com.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

MarketChomp is a business tool and isn’t intended for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. The “last updated” date always tells you which version is current.
